<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a printer which can rapidly reach a running-on state after the start of printing, and thereafter print at the highest production speed until a printing jog is finished in a good predetermined printing quality, and to particularly provide a method for correcting a set mistake at the printing starting time of the job and/or optimizing a color adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: In order to set the color adjustment, the set value of ink metering with an ink filling set value and/or an opening of an ink zone and an ink stripe width is decided. In this case, the color adjustment is performed by using the set value of the printing job before the job stored at a printer side, and corrected at each job so as to optimize the printing result. The corrected set value is stored for following printing job. In the case of next time printing job, the corrected set value is used for a controller for the printer for performing the preset of an inking unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
