<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing machine which can preliminarily recognize that a paper supply tray selecting function cannot be normally executed to a paper size designated by a user and to a paper size searched by set contents of a variable magnification ratio. <P>SOLUTION: The printing machine has the paper supply tray selecting function, and a function of judging whether the paper size can be handled by a printing part 5. When a command for designating the paper size is received, a paper supply tray where papers of a paper size having a variable magnification value set by a variable magnification of a printing condition reflected on the paper size designated by the command are set is automatically searched by the paper supply tray selecting function. A control means 1 is set in the printing machine, which controls to display as a message to a display part 6 before the paper supply tray selecting function is executed, the designated paper size, the variable magnification set value, and the paper size having the variable magnification set value reflected onto the designated paper size when it is judged that the paper size cannot be handled by the printing part 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
