PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an environmentally friendly gasoline which adds a reduced load, such as improved exhaust gas properties, to the environment when used in an engine suffering from the adhesion of intake valve deposits and combustion chamber deposits. SOLUTION: The gasoline is the one having a Research octane number of 98 or higher, a sulfur content of 10 ppm mass or lower, a Reid vapor pressure of 65 kPa or lower, a 70% evaporation temperature of 128°C or lower, and a 10C or higher aromatic hydrocarbon content of 1.5 mass% or lower and containing 100-300 mass ppm polyisobuteneamine, wherein the existing gum content after cleaning is 1 mg/10 ml or lower, and that before cleaning is 11-20 mg/100 ml.
