PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for processing a rigid and fragile workpiece simply, easily and precisely. SOLUTION: A processing machine joints a workpiece 21 to a supporting substrate 20 of a material identical or similar to the material of the workpiece 21 with resin 22 so as to form a work 3, and fixes the work 3 on a processing stage and processes the work 3 from the workpiece 21 side, when a tool mounted to a rotational shaft is rotated around the rotational shaft so as to process the workpiece 21 fixed on the processing stage. Accordingly, the workpiece 21 of a hard, fragile and inorganic material such as ceramic, glass, quartz glass, and carbon can be adhered and fixed to the supporting substrate 20 with thin resin 22, so as to integrally form the work 3.
