PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method of hexavalent chromium-containing waste water which enables the treatment of the hexavalent chromium-containing waste water with a simple operation without causing the secondary pollution. SOLUTION: The treatment method of hexavalent chromium-containing waste water is characterized in that a ferric salt is added to the hexavalent chromium- containing waste water and the waste water is adjusted to a pH of 4.5-6.5 and is coprecipitated with iron hydroxides which produce chromium.
