摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a piezoelectric ceramic which has improved properties by controlling the compositional ratio between a first element and a second element in a perovskite-type oxide. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric ceramic containing the perovskite-type compound M1<SB>m</SB>(Nb<SB>1-z</SB>Ta<SB>z</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>(M is a group 1 element in the long period type Periodic Table) as the main component is produced. The raw materials are mixed and calcined, and after that, normal firing is performed thereto. The ratio of A/B in the calcination is controlled to >1 to <1.02, and the ratio of A/B (compositional ratio of the first element to the second element) in the normal firing is controlled to 1&plusmn;0.001.
