PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ultrasonic diagnostic equipment capable of thinning and lightening a transmission cable for connecting an ultrasonic probe and a device body, even when the number of oscillating elements is increased, and improving the operability. SOLUTION: A wave-receiving signal transmitted between the ultrasonic probe 18 and the device body 20 through the transmission cable 12 is chipped by being divided in a time-shared state by switch arrays 30a mounted to receive the wave corresponding to each of the vibrating elements 14 (1)-14 (8), and the chips are successively serially transmitted by utilizing a common signal wire 12a in the transmission cable 12. The waveform is reproduced by switch arrays 32a for receiving waves after transmission. A wave-sending signal for generating an ultrasonic pulse is transmitted in a state of being chipped by switch arrays for wave-sending. As a result, the sending and receiving of the ultrasonic wave between the ultrasonic probe 18 and the device body 20 can be performed only by the common signal wire 12a, and the transmission cable 12 can be thinned and lightened.
