PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality polyester resin composition which is excellent in thermal dimensional stability and productivity and can be used for various applications. SOLUTION: This composition contains (A) a polyester and (B) a polyether imide. Metals adhering to the surface of the composition satisfy inequalities (1)-(4): (1) M≤10,000 (CPS/20 SEC), (2) C≤10,000 (CPS/20 SEC), (3) S≤50,000 (CPS/20 SEC), and (4) A≤10,000 (CPS/20 SEC) (wherein M is the strength of fluorescent X-ray of magnesium; C is that of calcium; S is that of silica; and A is that of aluminum).
