PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toy and article which attract the interest of a person who watches them by simple and inexpensive structure in the toy and article for partially rotating a component. SOLUTION: The toy 1 is provided with: a main body 2; a moving body 4 fitted to the main body 2 so as to reciprocate by utilizing movement applied to the main body 2; a rotator 3 which is fitted to a position visible from the outside of the main body 2 and supported rotatably with respect to the main body 2; and a transmission part 6 which converts the reciprocation of the moving body 4 to rotation movement and transmits it to the rotator.
