PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the installation space required and provide a simplified configuration. SOLUTION: In a piling device, trucks for stacking paper sheets can be moved into and out of a paper sheet stacking position. The plurality of trucks are arranged vertically in steps and stored on the upstream side of the paper sheet stacking position along the direction of insertion of the trucks 1 across a standby part 11. A truck rack device 12 comprises first and second rack devices 12a and 12b being vertically movable step by step and arranged each by two in the direction in which the trucks are conveyed in. The truck rack device is provided at its bottom with a first feeder 13a by which the truck located at the lowest step of the first rack device 12a closer to the piling device P is fed into the piling device via the standby part in a 'pileup' fashion, and a second feeder 13b by which the trucks are fed to the steps of the same height of the first rack device from one of the steps of the second rack device 12b that is farther from the piling device.
