PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil spring made of a fiber reinforced plastic subjected to braiding treatment using a braider, and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: Braided yarns of which the braiding angle is±θ°with respect to an axial line and central yarns of which the angle is 0°with respect to the axial line are selectively combined to compose a braided layer and a plurality of the braided layers are laminated to manufacture a braid structure being an FRP structure. The manufacturing method for an FRP spring comprises a braiding process 11 for setting reinforcing fibers preliminarily impregnated with a resin to a braider BR and weaving the braid structure 10 by braiding, a lapping process for continuously winding a heat-shrinkable tape 13 around the braid structure while weaving the braid structure and a coil molding process for spirally winding the lapped braid structure 14 and curing the wound braid structure to mold the same into a coil-like spring structure.
