PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an operator to safely perform manual welding by a YAG laser by emitting a laser beam from a laser oscillator to a laser processing head when a laser emission switch turns on. SOLUTION: The manual welding system consists of the YAG laser oscillator 9, the laser processing head 25 having a work contact detecting means, the laser beam protective implement 29 having a mounting check switch and an opening/closing detecting switch of the protective surface, a foot switch 31 which outputs a processing prepn. completion signal and a controller 19 which controls the laser oscillator, the laser processing head, the laser beam protective implement and the foot switch. The controller emits the laser beam from the YAG laser oscillator 9 when the laser emission switch of the laser beam processing head 25 is turned on after attaching of the raser processing head with the work, the mounting of the laser beam protective implement, the close state of the protective surface and the prepn. completion signal from the foot switch 31 are detected. |
