FIELD: electrical engineering; generators and other electrical machines for various human economical activities. SUBSTANCE: diamagnetic-and-thermal method for generating alternating emf involves production, hold-up, and displacement of so-called normal zone in superconducting layer of electrical machine stator by sequential; heating of definite areas of mentioned superconducting layer to temperature that disturbs superconductivity and diamagnetism. Effective magnetic flux crossing normal zone is shifted by displacing mentioned normal zone. Magnetic lines of force of moving effective magnetic flux induce emf in conductors of fixed stator winding mounted on magnetic core while crossing them. Effective magnetic flux of electrical machine can be built up by circular electric current flowing in superconducting layer of stator about normal zone or by any other source. Devices implementing this method are free from moving parts and ensure universal heat supply using both thermal energy and other kinds of energy easily converted into heat.
