PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic system for a controller wherein a computer can diagnose the presence/absence of abnormality in the controller through a lens system, so as to prevent in advance an unexpected accident due to a fault or the like of the controller. SOLUTION: When an operator starts a program of the FIND system in a personal computer connected to a lens and executes the diagnosis of the controller, the computer displays a picture indicating a state of each operating member of the controller as shown in Fig. 14. Since the indication of the picture is changed by the operations of the controller when the controller is normal, if indication is not changed in the operations, it is decided that the controller is in a abnormal state.
