PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine having such a structure that the leakage flux of an outer rotor is prevented and further magnetic field resistance from the viewpoint of an inner rotor is reduced, in the rotating electric machine which has the two rotors of the inner rotor and outer rotor having a plurality of magnets in the circumferential direction coaxially positioned with one stator between and is driven by a combined current supplied to coils of the stator. SOLUTION: The core of the stator is divided into a plurality of stator pieces, and a coil is wound on each of the stator pieces. The stator pieces have yokes on the inner rotor side and on the outer rotor side with coil areas between in the radial direction. Bolts of magnetic materials are placed in air gaps between the outer rotor-side yokes of the adjacent stator pieces at a predetermined distance from ends of the outer rotor-side yokes on both sides. Thus, the outer rotor-side yokes of the adjacent stator pieces are magnetically coupled with each other in part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
