PORTABLE TELEPHONE SYSTEM AND PORTABLE TELEPHONE SET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone set having an automatic answering function with a picture for transmitting a clear answerphone message by transmitting picture data together with voice data from a caller as the answerphone message. SOLUTION: A portable telephone system includes: a camera part 21 for photographing the picture; a data converting circuit part 22 for converting the picture photographed by the camera into picture data; a storage device part 23 for storing the converted picture data; and a display part 24 for displaying picture data stored in the storage device part. The picture data stored in the storage device part 23 is transmitted by a control part 28 as the answerphone message with the picture and voice, when absence is set in the portable telephone set of a transmission destination.
