PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication apparatus and an image storage method for enhancing the operability in the case of storing a photographed image. SOLUTION: An image storage section 6 receives an image photographed by a photographing section 8 as data D1. An antenna 1 and a transmission/ reception section 2 receive current position information, and a position information acquisition section 4 acquires and stores position information denoting the current position. A storage control section 5 discriminates whether or not a folder coincident with the current position exists in place dependent folders 11<SB>1</SB>to 11<SB>m</SB>provided in the image storage section 6. When the place dependent folder coincident with a location name of the current place exists, the storage control section 5 automatically decides the place dependent folder as a folder of a storage destination of the image.
