<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restric power consumption so as to substantially extend an operating time of a battery and to surely avoid the failure of written data loss or the like due to energy consumption of the battery. <P>SOLUTION: In addition to a main CPU 2 which executes main processing in a portable terminal 1, a sub CPU 3 with capability lower than that of the main CPU 2 is provided, and a main battery 4 and a sub battery 5 are provided. With the sub CPU 3, at least a terminal voltage Ea of the main battery 4, a terminal voltage Eb of the sub battery 5 and an ambient temperature T of the batteries 4, 5 are detected at prescribed sampling periods. Based on first data Da concerning the detected terminal voltage Ea of the main battery 4, second data Db concerning the terminal voltage Eb of the sub battery 5, and third data Dc concerning the ambient temperature T of the batteries 4, 5, an energy consumption state is monitored. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
