PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the labor of a user when reproducing sounds in a digital still camera. SOLUTION: When a digital still camera 1 and an earphone device 20 are connected, corresponding terminals of connectors 3 and 21 are connected. Then connection of the earphone device 20 to the digital still camera 1 is detected in the digital still camera 1. Thus, sound data are read out from a memory card 10, and a sound signal is given to the earphone device 20, and sounds are outputted from a loudspeaker 27. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
