<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium which hardly causes the output reduction when being used and preserved under various kinds of environments and has the excellent trafficability. <P>SOLUTION: In the magnetic recording medium, a magnetic layer which contains hexagonal ferrite powder and a binder is disposed on a supporting body at least by one layer. Therein, the hexagonal ferrite powder has a magnetoplumbite structure of average plate diameter of 15-35 nm and the ratio of alkaline earth metal/Fe (ESCA) is 0.10-0.15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
