<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength division multiplexing passive optical network system. <P>SOLUTION: The wavelength division multiplexing passive optical network system includes: a fiber transfer end for transmitting downstream optical signals obtained by performing wavelength division multiplexing on downstream channels having different wavelengths from one another through a fiber and demultiplexing upstream optical signals including first and second upstream channels with different wavelengths form one another received through the fiber; an optical power splitter for performing power split on the downstream optical signals received through a first port that is connected to the fiber, and for outputting the split optical signals through a plurality of second ports, and for outputting upstream optical signals obtained by coupling the first and second upstream channels received through a plurality of the second ports through the first port; and a plurality of optical network elements for demultiplexing the downstream optical signals received from the optical power splitter by wavelengths, and for transmitting the first and second upstream channels to the optical power splitter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
