<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a random number generator of a small circuit size and a small power consumption using physical noise as a seed of the random number. <P>SOLUTION: This random number generator is provided with an element 1 to generate noise, a first switch element 2 connected to the element 1 to generate noise, a capacity 3 connected to the first switch element 2, a first inverting amplifier 4 with the capacity 3 and the input connected thereto, a second inverting amplifier 5 with the output and the input of the first inverting amplifier 4 connected thereto, a second switch element 6 to connect the output of the first inverting amplifier 4 to the input of the first inverting amplifier 4, and a third switch element 7 to connect the output of the second amplifier 5 to the input of the first amplifier 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
