PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a lens device exclusive for a digital camera from being attached to a silver salt film camera and to discriminate the type of a lens device attached to a digital camera. SOLUTION: A lens device 21 exclusive for a digital camera, which can be attached to and detached from a digital camera 22 for picking up an image by a photoelectric converter 24 is provided with an attachment stopping part 37 having a shape for preventing the lens device 21 from being attached to a film camera for photographing on a silver salt film, and a switch 38 which is provided in the digital camera and detects attachment of the lens device 21 is operated by the attachment stopping part 37 when the lens device is attached to the digital camera.
