LINE ON GLASS TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

摘要

PURPOSE: A line on glass type liquid crystal display is provided to reduce load of a gate low voltage line by reducing line resistance of a line on glass type gate low voltage line. CONSTITUTION: A video display unit(36) includes a plurality of liquid crystal cells, a gate in storage type storage capacitor installed at each liquid crystal cell for maintaining pixel voltage, and a dummy gate line(GL0) for forming storage capacitor of the liquid crystal cells included in a first scanning line. A group of line on glass gate signal lines are formed at an outline of the video display unit by a line on glass method for transmitting driving signals required for drive ICs driving the gate lines and the data lines. The dummy gate line is designed to have a resistance smaller than the gate lines.
