PURPOSE: A skin composition containing a Myristicae Semen extract having excellent antibacterial activity against Propionibacterium acnes is provided. It also has excellent antioxidant power and thus can be used for reducing skin problems and improving stability of hair or body cleansing products while preventing and treating acne. CONSTITUTION: The skin composition for prevention and treatment of acne contains 0.005 to 5.0% by weight of a Myristicae Semen extract on a dry basis. The Myristicae Semen extract is obtained by grinding Myristicae Semen, extracting in solvents, filtering, concentrating under reduced pressure and then freeze drying. The solvent is one or more solvents selected from the group consisting of purified water, methanol, ethanol, propanol, isopropanol, butanol, acetone, glycerol propylene glycol, 1,3-butylene glycol, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, hexane, diethyl ether and dichloromethane.
