The contact faces of the calibrating die are provided with slots in which electric conductors are embedded in insulating material. A high voltage is applied between the metal body of the die and the insulated conductors to generate an electrostatic field directed to attract an extruded plastic against the contact faces of the die. The adhesive force applied to the extrusion is adjustable by varying the voltage applied. |
