<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet log recorder which separately records contents of packets propagating through a virtual observation point, with a group classified by a filter as the virtual observation point. <P>SOLUTION: The packet log recorder for recording packets propagating through the observation point of a network includes first and second storage means for recording packet information; a filter means for receiving the packets propagating through the observation point, classifying the packet into two virtual observation points based on filter conditions, and outputting them; a first operation control means for extracting a part invariable during propagation from the packet classified as one of the virtual observation points, applying a hash function thereto to obtain a hash value, and writing data regarding the hash value as an address of the first storage means; and a second operation control means for extracting a part invariable during propagation from the packet classified as the other virtual observation point, applying the hash function thereto to obtain a hash value, and writing data regarding the hash value as an address of the second storage means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
