PACKAGE FOR POLYMER BATTERY AND BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further strengthen a cup type package structure by providing a side wall reinforced so as to reduce possibility of short circuit of a battery in a package for a polymer battery. SOLUTION: The package for the polymer battery 72 is formed by an almost rectangular laminated sheet 74, and the laminated sheet 74 is structured by two polymer layers and a metallic foil layer disposed between them. An almost rectangular cavity 82 having a bottom part 84 and four side parts is formed in the laminated body at the end of the sheet. The cavity 82 is disposed so that a sheet part sets a flange part 94 extending in the periphery of the at least three side parts. The sheet part is folded to form a cover to cover the cavity 82 and the flange 94 in its periphery. A protective and reinforcing layer 102 is disposed along the four side walls in the cavity.
