PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously attain an increase in accuracy and speed of a processing, thereby remarkably enhancing laser processing efficiency and remarkably decreasing a processing time and operation cost of a laser processing device. SOLUTION: The solid laser device carries out a laser oscillation by exciting a Nd:YAG crystal 1 as a solid laser active medium by a light source such as a laser diode LD or lump or the like. A compensation optical element 17 for varying an amount of emission of a concave thermal lens effect in proportion to an output level of oscillated laser beams is disposed inside a laser oscillator 4. Thus, a convex thermal lens effect produced inside the Nd:YAG crystal 1 is compensated and a dynamic range which can obtain a high intensity of laser emitted beams and a stable laser output is enlarged.
