PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated slid-state imaging device which can realize a solid-state imaging device, having high resolution and light utilizing efficiency, and to provide a method for reading its signal. SOLUTION: The laminated solid-state imaging device 10 comprises a photoelectric converter 12, a signal reader 14 and a power source 16. The converter 12 includes a structure, in which photoconductive films 18, 20 and 22 for individually absorbing lights a blue, green and red colors are laminated. Photocurrents i<SB>1</SB>to i<SB>3</SB>, generated by applying a voltage V<SB>1</SB>to V<SB>3</SB>to the films 18, 20 and 22, are superposed, and the photocurrents I<SB>1</SB>to I<SB>3</SB>are extracted through the film 18 of the lowermost layer.
