<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape feeder in which waste of electronic component can be eliminated by preventing an electronic component from being missed when mounting tape. <P>SOLUTION: In the tape feeder for feeding electronic components sequentially to the pickup position of a transfer head by feeding a carrier tape 7 holding the electronic components P pitch by pitch, an opening 23d for confirming the component is provided on the upstream side of a cut 23a for taking out the component made in a cover member 23 covering the carrier tape 7 in the vicinity of the pickup position, and presence of the electronic component P on the carrier tape 7 is confirmed through the opening 23d. Presence of the electronic component P in the recess 7a can thereby be confirmed surely when mounting the tape and waste of electronic component can be eliminated by preventing the electronic component from being missed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
