PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a speaker stand which is not tilted down even when an external impact force is imparted to a speaker unit of the stand for fixedly placing the speaker unit. SOLUTION: A weight 13 of slide members 11, 13 of a shaft 11 having the weight 13 at a distal end slidably under a main strut 9 is placed in a recess 15 disposed at a higher position of a base 2, at an intermediate position of the strut 9 in which the speaker unit 7 is fixed at an upper part as a fulcrum 27 of a bearing. When an external force is applied to the unit 7 so that the strut 9 is inclined, the shaft 11 of the members 11, 13 is extended so that the weight 13 is slidably dropped in a spherical recess 16 at a lower position provided on the outer periphery of the recess 15, by means of a gravity to prevent the stand 1 from being tilted down.
