PURPOSE: A PTS management method in a digital broadcasting receiver is provided to manage PTS regardless of audio frames without any additional algorithm for searching different headers from different algorithms, thereby simplifying the PES decoding and reducing the code size. CONSTITUTION: A PTS(Presentation Time Stamp) management method in a digital broadcasting receiver includes the step of detecting PTSs(PTS1-PTSn) from PES(Presentation Elementary Stream) headers by PES packet while decoding the PES. The PTS are stored in PTS&address buffers and ESs are stored in ES buffers respectively, wherein the PTS&address buffer stores the PTSs with valid address of the PTSs. With reference to a length of a packet of each of the PES in the header of each of the PES header, a final part of the packet is realized and an address of the ES buffer storing the final part. In a single PES packet, the address of an ES buffer storing the audio ES of the final part is to be a valid address value of a corresponding PTS. |
