PURPOSE: A direct pressing type melt forging apparatus is provided, wherein attachment such as conventional side cylinder is not required by close adhering and supporting side holder connected to lower plate to side die so that force corresponding to pressure applied to the side die is produced during melt forging. CONSTITUTION: In a melt forging apparatus comprising a main body upper body part and lower body part are connected to frame; a melt heat reserving furnace; a transfer means comprising ladle(22) for transferring a fixed quantity of melt to die part; and a control part, the direct pressing type melt forging apparatus is characterized in that the upper body part of the main body comprises main cylinder installed at the central part of crown part of the central upper part of the main body and subsidiary cylinders installed at left and right sides of the main cylinder, a slide table mounted on the lower part of the main cylinder and subsidiary cylinders, an upper knock out cylinder(10) connected to the main cylinder of the central part of the slide table, an upper plate(16) connected to the lower part of the slide table, and an upper die part equipped with demolding means and coupled to the upper plate(16) so that the upper die part is descended by the main cylinder and ascended by the subsidiary cylinders, and the lower body part of the main body comprises a lower knock out cylinder(9) mounted on the central part of lower support, a lower plate(1) fixed to the lower support of the outer circumference part of the lower knock out cylinder(9), a side holder(32) equipped with heat reserving electric heater and connected to the lower plate(1), and a lower die part coupled to the upper part of the lower knock out cylinder(9) so that the lower die part is pressurized, ascended and descended by the lower knock out cylinder(9).
