PURPOSE:To realize a vertically magnetized recording head of a mechanism that does not hold a recording medium on both surfaces of it, by setting the 1st and the 2nd main magnetic poles of different magnetic permeabilities on each other in the travelling direction of the recording medium and then winding an energizing coil around these main magnetic poles. CONSTITUTION:A vertically magnetized recording head contains the 1st magnetic pole 3a made of a thin film having large maximum magnetic permeability mum, the 2nd main magnetic pole 3b made of a thin film having the maximum magnetic permeability smaller than the pole 3a, an energizing coil 2 for recording which wound around the poles 3a and 3b, and a detecting coil for reproduction (not shown in the diagram) which is wound contiguously with the coil 2. |
