<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backup power function to a power storage apparatus with no significant cost increase which was not essentially usable as a backup power so far. <P>SOLUTION: The power storage apparatus comprises a storage battery, a means to detect presence of an electric power which is supplied to the storage battery from an outside power source, a storage-battery voltage detecting means, and a discharge cut-off means which stops discharging of the storage battery. When the electric power supplied from the external power source is detected, discharging of the storage battery is stopped when the voltage of the storage battery comes to be a prescribed voltage V2. When no electric power supplied from the external power source is detected, the discharging of the storage battery is stopped when the voltage of the storage battery comes to be a prescribed voltage V1 (V1<V2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
