<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing device which can carry out data communication even with an external device with a low capacity for supplying electric power through a communication cable. <P>SOLUTION: In a voice reproducing device which can receive power supply from a PC through the communication cable like a cable for USB connection, when a USB connection is established, a means is provided for setting the ON/OFF state of a so-called USB speaker function which reproduces voice data of digital format sent from the PC with a speaker, and according to the setting, the setting of maximum consumption current value which is sent to the PC is changed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
