PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a channel with high accuracy in the MC-CDMA (multi- carrier-CDMA) system. SOLUTION: Around a target pilot symbol, 2N<SB>f</SB>+1 pilot symbols are selected on the frequency axis and 2N<SB>t</SB>+1 pilot symbols are selected on the time base, a weight corresponding to a distance from the target pilot symbol is added to each pilot symbol by using an obliteration factorλ<SB>t</SB>on the time base and an obliteration factorλ<SB>f</SB>and summing the resulting pilot symbols in-phase estimates channels. The values of the obliteration factorsλ<SB>t</SB>,λ<SB>f</SB>are adaptively controlled depending on the measured Doppler frequency and a delay spread. Moreover, cross shaped or rhombic shaped pilot symbols around the target pilot symbol are used for objects on in-phase summation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
