PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent one software from being used anytime in a plurality of computers. SOLUTION: In installation of software 2-1 in a user side computer 2, only if the software 2-1 confirms that its own authorization information is stored in a server 1 through communication with the server 1 via a network 3, the authorization information stored in a database 1-2 of the server 1 is moved into non-volatile memory 2-5 to be used by BIOS 2-2 of the computer 2, and then the installation processing is completed. In starting the software 2-1 in the computer 2, only if the software 2-1 confirms that its own authorization information is stored in the non-volatile memory 2-5, the starting processing is completed. When the software 2-1 is uninstalled from the computer 2, its own authorization information, which is stored in the non-volatile memory 2-5, is returned to the serve 1, so that installation by another user's computer is permitted.
