<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system whereby a transmission means can be selected between a camera head unit and a camera control unit depending on a photographing state. <P>SOLUTION: An optical signal input/output terminal 115, and either one of an electric signal input terminal 116 and an electric signal output terminal 117 are connected to the camera head unit. Either one of an exclusive cable connected to the optical signal input/output terminal 115 and a coaxial BNC (Bayonet Neil-Concelman) cable connected to the electric signal input terminal 116 is selected as a transmission means for a digital video signal outputted from an output format encoder 106 under the control of a switch 107. Either the exclusive cable connected to the optical signal input/output terminal 115 or the coaxial BNC cable connected to the electric signal input terminal 116 is selected as a transmission means for a digital video signal fed to an input format decoder 111 under the control of a switch 110. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
