PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk for eliminating the need for superimposing a low frequency component on a push-pull signal even when the optical disk is of a type wherein the track pitch like that of a next generation MD (Mini- Disk) 2 is as narrower as 1.25μm than 1.6μm and a mark is detected by the DWDD (Domain Wall Displacement Detection). SOLUTION: The optical disk 200 comprises 28 zones from a zone Z<SB>0</SB>to a zone Z<SB>27</SB>. Then the number of wobble waves between adjacent tracks in the zones are designed the same as shown in Figures 2 (a) and (b). That is, the number of carrier waves at the ADIP (Address in Pregroove) is selected the same as each other. Thus, the inphase and the outphase can be matched in average and the magnitude of the WPP (Wobble Push-Pull) signal is smaller. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
