PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rotating machine wherein even if a brush holder is installed aslant, a brush absorbs this inclination and faces toward the normal direction. SOLUTION: The brush 17 is gently guided and housed in the brush holder 8 so that the brush is rotatable at small angles. Thus, even if the brush holder 8 is installed on a commutator 2 at an erroneous angle, a first face of the brush 17 brought into contact with the commutator 2 is correctly brought into contact with the outer circumferential surface of the commutator 2.
