PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker system in which an influence of sounds generated from plates for constituting a housing is removed and which has an excellent tone quality. SOLUTION: The speaker system comprises the housing, and a speaker unit mounted in the housing. A ratio of pitch frequencies of two arbitrarily selected surfaces of six surfaces for constituting the housing corresponds to a frequency ratio regarded as being a harmonic sound. Preferably, the frequency ratio regarded as being the harmonic sound corresponds to any of 1 degree, major 3 degree, 4 degree, 5 degree, major 6 degree and 8 degree in musical instrument acoustics.
