PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide switch used for an electronic equipment, which enables its easy assembly and its easy operation, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The slide switch which enables preventing its spring member middle portion jutting or getting out of its containing portion 11A, its easy assembly and its easy operation, is so constituted that a coil shape spring 15 which has both end turn number sum of 3/4 to 1 is contained in the containing portion 11A of the case 11 and the spring 15 forces an operating member 13 to return.
