<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content providing/reproducing system capable of implementing content reproduction free from unfamiliar feeling by paying a higher consideration at user's option. <P>SOLUTION: This system is constituted of a content selling device 1 and a content reproducing device 2. Using the content selling device 1, either a first storage medium whereon contents added with a free code are stored or a second storage medium whereon contents added with a charging code are stored is sold according to the user option. The content reproducing device 2 detects whether an object to be reproduced is the first storage medium or the second storage medium by detecting the free code or the charging code, and on the basis of the detected result, functions regarding a content reproducing time control and a content reproducing position control are made different. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
