PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image distortion correcting device which precisely corrects the distortion of an image regardless of change with time of a deflecting system and which is of a low current consumption and a low cost. SOLUTION: The image distortion correcting device is provided with a distortion correcting operation circuit for operating distortion correction data for correcting the image distortion, a read address generation circuit for generating a read address of a memory on the basis of the distortion correction data, an interpolating operation circuit for performing interpolating operation of an image signal on the basis of the distortion correction data, a deflecting current detection circuit for detecting a deflecting current of a display device, and an amplitude comparison circuit for comparing the amplitude of the deflecting current. Image distortion is corrected with a high precision even when the circuit state of the deflecting system is changed with time, and the current consumption and the cost are reduced.
