GAIN LEVELING FILTER AND OPTICAL FIBER AMPLIFIER GAINLEVELED BY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gain leveling filter capable of decreasing production cost and a volume of a gain-leveled optical fiber amplifier even when a demanded loss peak value exceeds a limit value of a dielectric thin film filter, and to provide an optical fiber amplifier gain-leveled by using the same. SOLUTION: The gain leveling filter contains a housing having a first opening and a second opening, a first ferrule which is disposed at one end of the housing and mounts an input-side optical fiber through openings, a second ferrule which is disposed at the other end of the housing and mounts an output-side optical fiber through the openings, and a plurality of thin film filters disposed sequentially between the first ferrule and the second ferrule for leveling a gain of an optical signal passing the inside thereof.
