PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a creation and editing support method for a sequence program capable of making a creation and editing work of the sequence program efficient, by overlappingly displaying a small screen to display information on a device in a display screen while creating or editing the sequence program. SOLUTION: The sequence program is created or edited by displaying an input condition to execute the prescribed operation and an output condition corresponding to it at each operation step of an industrial machine on a display device. The input condition and the output condition of the sequence program are input as variables related to them and are displayed on the display device. When selecting the variable displayed on the display device, the small screen to display various information of the variable is overlapped to confirm the information on the device.
