VOLUME MANAGEMENT METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a volume management method for reducing influences of an artificial mistake on volume assigning and deleting processing in a volume management system. SOLUTION: A list of sets to each storage equipment is formed based on a user's volume operation request to the volume management system. A set included in the formed list is verified, and the set is executed based on the formed list to execute the user's volume operation request stepwise. The executed set can be canceled if it is before a registered execution condition is satisfied. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
