Electric components and connections are mounted in a space (3) between the upper and lower parts of the fitting. The seal between these two fitting parts is formed by the upper part (1) resting on a downwards-sloping surface (6) on the lower part (2) at a distance from the top of the slope, so that the bottom of the side edge (10) of the upper part is located below the top of the slope. A gap is present between the bottom of the side edge of the upper part and the sloping surface to allow rainwater to enter an elongated channel defined by the sloping surface and the side edge of the upper part. The water column formed in this channel acts as a seal between the upper and lower part. The water column level always remains lower than the top of the slope. - The upper part rests on top of sloping surfaces on either side of the lower part. |
